Expanding into taking portraits means getting new equipment better suited to portraits, rather than fires or wrecks. While that big zoom lens works great for emergency scenes, it does a horrible job at crisp portraits. I’m thankful for my buddy Shelby (who is the greatest wealth of knowledge ever) who gave me the advice to invest in a better lens. She couldn’t have been more right! While I had to return my first lens for some focusing problems, I ordered a new 85mm and I am so excited to get to use it this weekend! Here’s a couple shots of Eva, who was sweet enough to pose for me to try out my first lens.
